Okay. I don't know how I managed to pull this off, but I did. I saw there was a Gears of War contest and had to do it. ONE OF MY FAVORITE SERIES OF ALL TIME OMG I AM SUCH A FANTATIC IT WOULD BE A SHAM NOT TO CONTRIBUTE TO THIS. Gears 3 I am loving more than the others so far. Retro lancers = way too much fun
And uh, yeah. Painted using Adobe Photoshop with lots of references used and stock textures. I am officially now a master at painting rough, scarred skin. Whoever designed their armor is to put it simply, cruel. Seriously. What is up with all the crazy detail. I almost lost my mind. The background is composed of photos I took of the beach while on vacation...ran out of time and couldn't paint that D: (But hey - if that armor wasn't so crazy I'm sure I could have made this 100% painting).
